Real bride rustic wedding inspiration of Leanne’s beautiful wedding. I created the boho style hair and makeup for Leanne and her bridal party. With colour hues of lilac and soft green throughout. That blended seamlessly with the countryside setting, in the surroundings of Milling Barn in Hertfordshire.

Wedding Makeup
Natural makeup with well defined lashes. I like to create a look that the Bride feels comfortable with. I focused on the skin looking like skin and only covering areas that need it. Creating photographic balance in wedding images, whilst still being able to look and feeling yourself. Cluster lashes were used as to not be overpowering in the images. They subtly open up the eye area and most often you can wear less mascara. Which is great if you get a tear in your eye during your ceremony.

Wedding Hair Styling
The Bride wanted a hairstyle that had texture, yet looked effortless and had impact. The finishing touches of flowers added to the rustic feel of her wedding. Lots of pin are cleverly hidden to ensure the hair held from morning until night. Especially important if you are spending time outdoors during your wedding.

Wedding Preparations
The wedding party had their wedding preparations at Radford House Bed and Breakfast before travelling to the Milling Barn. This is not your average Bed and Breakfast, it boasts modern décor and well lit rooms. The owners are incredibly accommodating and great hosts. It was such a lovely place to be able to prepare the Bride and her wedding party.

Rustic Details
Rich greenery with pops of lilac and pinks continued to create a rustic feel to the wedding breakfast. With the floral arrangements, adorning the table settings and tealight candles adding a soft romantic feel. The fresh cut rosemary added a sensory scent. The rustic barn at Milling Barn created an ideal way to incorporate the rustic theme throughout.

Advice from the Bride
“Try not to worry about the little things. At the end of the day people don’t remember the colour of the table plan or how the napkins were folded. Don’t drink too much! Enjoy every moment, It will be the only time in your life everyone in your life, is in one room. Make time for one another before the wedding day. Try not to think that everything will be perfect, because things will go wrong but nobody else will know. Our wedding cake was the wrong shade and the videographer didn’t turn up on time.” Leanne.

Thank you for this great post with the wonderful pictures! I was particularly impressed by the picture style and the narrative. Great work! Warm regards, Anja
